We are exclusively mediating the sale of an old-town house in the very center of Kamnik.

History: The building “Planinka” (“Mountaineer”) had been the catering pride of Kamnik for decades. After 2000 it was abandoned and left to ruin for all visitors of the old city center to see. A decade later the new owner took it upon himself to thoroughly renovate the building, which proved to be a difficult task (and very welcomed by the profession). The first construction steps – the removal of plaster and partition walls – showed that Planinka is one of the oldest buildings in Kamnik. “We uncovered old paintings, columns and arches from the Gothic period, i.e. the 15th century. One of the outer walls also used to be the city defense wall. In the 1950s, a great deal of damage was done during the reconstruction, but we are now able to repair it,” reported the online paper Gorenjski glas in 2010.

 

The project was finished near the end of 2010. The ground floor holds a restaurant/café and upper floors hold business premises.
