We are exclusively mediating the sale of an old-town house in the very center of Kamnik.
History: The building “Planinka” (“Mountaineer”) had been the catering pride of Kamnik for decades. After 2000 it was abandoned and left to ruin for all visitors of the old city center to see. A decade later the new owner took it upon himself to thoroughly renovate the building, which proved to be a difficult task (and very welcomed by the profession). The first construction steps – the removal of plaster and partition walls – showed that Planinka is one of the oldest buildings in Kamnik. “We uncovered old paintings, columns and arches from the Gothic period, i.e. the 15th century. One of the outer walls also used to be the city defense wall. In the 1950s, a great deal of damage was done during the reconstruction, but we are now able to repair it,” reported the online paper Gorenjski glas in 2010.
The project was finished near the end of 2010. The ground floor holds a restaurant/café and upper floors hold business premises.
BASIC CHARACTERISTIC
ROOM LAYOUT
GROUND FLOOR: The restaurant/café space on the ground floor holds (besides the bar) three rooms for at least 70 guests, a hallway, auxiliary storage rooms, guest toilets and an atrium. The century-old tradition is highlighted by traditional Slovene furnishing.
1st FLOOR: The wonderful carpentry and office furniture is accompanied by walnut root veneer. Besides the reception desk at the entrance, there are four offices for 6-8 work spaces, a director’s office with a fireplace, toilets for employees and an information room.
2nd FLOOR: Stairs, lined with oak wood, lead to the 2nd floor. Three offices offer work spaces for 20 people. Other spaces are: the copy room, the kitchen, toilets for employees, a wardrobe area and a connecting hallway.
ATTIC: In the attic there is a big, air-conditioned conference room, which can be used as an office for 6-8 people, and an archival area.

The building is situated opposite the Kamnik Town Hall. You can enter the building from Glavni trg as well as from the parking lot, which is situated on the east side of the building and is very convenient for employees. In the building’s immediate vicinity there are banks, the post office, the court, a paper shop, a photography shop, corner shops, and the pharmacy and the bus station are a minute or two away…
Seller's condition: the buyer reimburses part of the sale costs in the amount of 2%, calculated from the contractual value of the property.
